About
About Zimbabwe Farming
An independent desk for Zimbabwean farming news, the numbers behind each season, and a marketplace where every listing says how far it has been checked.
Cattle, grain, machinery and land in Zimbabwe change hands mostly through WhatsApp groups and word of mouth. Too many deals fail on animals with no permit, grain that fails on moisture, a tractor with no registration book, or land the seller could not legally sell. Zimbabwe Farming exists to make that market clearer.
What we do
- News with sources. Every story is dated and links to the reports it relies on — government announcements, the Grain Marketing Board, the Meteorological Services Department and the farming press.
- A marketplace. Livestock, poultry, crops and produce, grain, equipment, and farms and plots — for sale, to let or wanted — filterable by category, province and type.
- Practical guides. What to check before buying cattle or land, and what each document proves.
How a listing goes live
Every listing carries a label — Seen and checked, Papers seen or Not yet checked — so buyers can see how far the checks went. We ask for ownership papers for livestock and equipment, and the title document for land.
A check is not a guarantee. Our checks reduce risk; they do not replace your own. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, and nothing here is investment, legal, veterinary or land-title advice.
What we will never do
- Ask for identity-document, bank or payment details through this website.
- Publish a seller's contact details unless the seller has chosen to make them public.
- Present a figure without saying where it came from.
